DR. JOHN A. ROTHCHILD
John A. Rothchild, general dentist, is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. He has performed a General Practice Residency at Rush University Medical Center of Chicago. He is also a Doctor of Integrative Medicine, a Doctor of Naturopathy, a Diplomat of the American Academy of Pain Management,and a Fellow and Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. He is Fellowship Eligible in the Academy of Craniofacial Pain and Board Eligible in the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics.
Dr. Rothchild is past president of the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics and is on staff at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, Colorado and St. Alexius Medical Center of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He formally was on staff for over thirty years at Rush University Medical Center of Chicago. He was an Associate Professor Emeritus and past Assistant Chairman of the Dental Medicine Department of Capital University of Integrative Medicine, in Washington DC, and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Rush Medical College in Chicago. He also was Dean and Professor of the School of Integrative Biological Dental Medicine in Saddlebrook, NJ. Dr. Rothchild has lectured throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on dental, ozone therapy and alternative health issues.
Dr. Rothchild is a member of many local and national professional organizations. He is one of a handful of dentists in the country who is certified by the Cranial Academy for Cranial Osteopathic Manipulation. He is also one of a very few that is certified in Microcurrent Point Stimulation Therapy (MPS) . Other certifications Dr. Rothchild has include Live Blood Analysis, Neural Therapy, Medical Acupuncture and Auricular Acupuncture. He also has advanced training in Homeopathy, Herbology, Acupuncture and Homo- toxicology. He has lectured regularly at Capital University of Integrative Medicine and at Rush Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago. He formally was on the attending staff of Rush Presbyterian Medical Center but continues to maintain staff status at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
He has been a board member of the Cranial Academy, the American Academy of Gnathologic Orthopedics and the committee on Alternative Medicine for the Alexian Brothers Hospital Network. He has also authored several scientific papers relating to Ozone Therapy and Dentistry.
In his free time, he is a professional musician (he plays the trombone) playing for several area dance bands, rock bands and concert bands (he has been told by his fellow musicians not to quit his day job!). He also loves the outdoors, traveling, and sports. He and his wife Mary, a registered nurse and certified hypnotist, have had the opportunity to volunteer on several medical/dental missions in Honduras. John and Mary live in the Pagosa Springs and Durango Four Corners area of Colorado.
